Nurse Practitioner Cardiovascular
Inpatient Facility

Responsibilities:
Diagnoses medical conditions, plans and implements interventions, and evaluates patient responses under the direction of and in collaboration with a physician supervisor or designated attending physician.
Demonstrates ability to evaluate patient's physical and emotional status.
Demonstrates ability to provide patient care based on age-related needs.
Demonstrates current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for adult and geriatric patients .
Demonstrates clear credentials check through the AHP process.
Acts as a mentor, role model and staff educator.
Demonstrates ability to clearly set behavioral limits.
Excellent communication skills with patients, professional staff, and support staff.
Able to assist in the gathering of data for STB & C-Corp data registeries.

Requirements for this job:
Current RN license within the state of practice
Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner within the state of practice
Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program including a Nurse Practitioner Program
Certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center as an ACNP preferred
Five years critical care experience with recent cardiac surgery experience
Must have experience with the preoperative and postoperative care of inpatient cardiac surgery patients
Current BLS and ACLS Certifications required
