OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner F/T Clinical practice in reproductive health. Outstanding orientation and excellent benefits Our Women’s Healthcare -Reproductive Division is currently seeking qualified nurse practitioners to be part of an exciting team that supports patients through the process, from diagnosis to outcome. Responsibilities: Secures a complete patient health history including obstetric, gynecologic, contraceptive, medical, surgical, sexual, family health, and psychosocial; and record findings accurately. Performs physical examinations with special emphasis on the reproductive system including pelvic and breast exams, cancer screening tests, diagnosis of STIs, and other types of more specialized procedures. Performs, orders, and interprets diagnostic studies as indicated and permitted by medical protocols. Provides relevant health instruction to include family planning, nutrition, sexual counseling, and principles of health promotion and maintenance. Recognizes common non-gynecological medical problems and other deviations from normal and provides management or referrals as appropriate. Recognizes gynecological deviations from normal, formulates a diagnosis, and provides education and management, or refers when appropriate. Provides education and appropriate management for women and men in need of reproductive related services, including fertility control, infertility, and STIs. Maintains follow-up service for abnormal Pap smears and other medical problems.
