Job Description

(login to see company) is a 200-bed Level II trauma Center Located approximately 40 miles west of Chicago, Illinois with easy access off I-88 at Rt. #31.

As the Fox Valley's most comprehensive resource in behavioral health, we have a variety of inpatient, outpatient and partial hospitalization programs for mental health issues as well as addictions treatment, including a Gero Psychiatric program (HOPE Unit) for adults 65 and over.

Our Behavioral Health building is nestled among mature trees on a quiet corner of our campus. The campus includes a full service medical facility that can be accessed via a tunnel system. This important connection ensures continuity of care as patients are easily transported for diagnostic testing and additional services.

Clinical Nurse Manager Gero Psych Hope Unit and BHS Float Pool:

Performs the primary functions of a professional nurse leader in assessing, planning, directing, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Ensures continuity of care with other shifts, units and services, staff and physicians.

Assesses and plans for the number and level of personnel needed to provide quality patient care; adjusts staffing and assignments according to activity, acuity, and shift requirements.

Develops and monitors the unit's operating, salary, and capital budgets.

Develops, implements, reviews, and revises policies procedures, and standards of care.

Ensure that all patients have nursing plans of care of treatment plans that include nursing assessment and problem identification.

Plans problem-solving process for improvement in patient care delivery; ensures ongoing collection, reporting, and utilization of unit-specific data and outcomes to initiate planned change.

Oversees clinical practice for patients from infancy to geriatrics.

Serves as resource and role model on ethical and medical moral issues, as well as clinical practice.

Leads and manages staff, to include interviewing and selection, orientation and training, evaluation, coaching, and counseling.

Adheres to the professional ethics and shares responsibility of promulgating the directives of the Catholic Church as they relate to the operation of the Catholic Health Care Facility.

Demonstrates the Provena Values in work behaviors daily and in interactions with others, both outside and within the department.

Supports the System Excellence philosophy in daily work by demonstrating Customer Service, Continuous Improvement, Business Principles, and P.D.S.A. (Plan, Do, Study, Act). Uses Performance Improvement tools and techniques in daily work activities as appropriate.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field required; Master's Degree preferred.

Five years clinical nursing practice, two of which are in a leadership capacity.

Current, active Illinois Nursing license required

Current CPR certification required
