Requirements for this job:
Current RN license within the state of practice
BSN preferred but not required
Minimum of 2 years experience
Previous experience working as a charge nurse and a preceptor
All applicants must show an ability to meet their work agreement and demonstrate the ability to arrive to work on time and work habits that limit work beyond the scheduled shift
Must demonstrate via references and in interview by providing examples of the following leadership abilities:
Ability to negotiate changing work loads and distributing work equitably
Experience prioritizing and delegating patient care needs
Ability to engage all staff (nurses, management, physicians and ancillary staff) to facilitate a collaborative environment.
Ability to respond to conflict in a positive, proactive manner and assist with resolution of issues
Consistent demonstration of commitment to and participation in professional growth and development evidenced by teaching new staff, engaging and mentoring staff and new grads. Timely completion of all required competencies and personal continuing education
No disciplinary action in the HR file
Others as determined by the specific unit
